1st Wake Forest Pickleball League February Thru April 2015

That’s something I’ve been hearing over and over again in our little Town of Wake Forest, NC.

Wake Forest Pickleball Club just finished up our  FIRST EVER League Play with 40 of our more skilled members. After 10 weeks of round robin ladder league play, the top 16 ranking players competed in a 3 Hour tournament with the top 3 scores winning Gold, Silver and Bronze.
We ended the day at our local club venue, Flaherty Park Community Center, with a celebration lunch for the entire club and our Town’s Parks and Recreation Leadership Group.

This was the first Pickleball League play in The Triangle. Thanks to Don Bomann in Farmington , CT for great Tournament program , Pickle Pairing he provided through our Ambassador Forum. Tournament was great for all. The Town of Wake Forest will continue their support for league play in the Fall of 2015.
We have a great group of folks playing Pickleball  from all skill levels and age groups. We have had a number of gold, silver, and medals won at our Wake County Senior Games 2015 and several qualifying for National Senior Games held this summer. Lots going on in Wake Forest!
Just started 6 weeks of Clinics yesterday with 22 folks coming out in a rain storm and happy to be learning our fastest growing sport…Pickleball!
Don’t you just love Pickleball?
